On April 23rd, experts and professors Li Aihua, Fu Guangming, Chen Litao, and Li Chenghua from the School of Petroleum Engineering at China University of Petroleum (East China) visited the International Ocean Engineering Training Center (SIOETC) for discussion and exchange. The center warmly welcomed the arrival of all leaders. This exchange aims to enhance mutual understanding, explore the possibility of cooperation, and jointly promote the development of offshore oil and gas engineering.

Overview of the Department of Marine Oil and Gas Engineering at China University of Petroleum (East China)

The establishment of the Department of Marine Oil and Gas Engineering and the School of Petroleum Engineering is one of the earliest main departments established by China University of Petroleum. It was founded in 1953 and has been renamed as the Department of Petroleum Drilling and Production, the Department of Development, and the Department of Petroleum Engineering. In 2001, it was rebuilt as the School of Petroleum Engineering. After more than half a century of unremitting struggle by several generations of faculty and staff, it has become an important base for talent cultivation and scientific research in China's petroleum engineering, and has made significant contributions to the national petroleum industry and socialist economic construction.

The department has a strong faculty and complete scientific research facilities, providing strong support for the exploration, development, and utilization of marine oil and gas resources in China.

Discussion and exchange, seeking cooperation and development together

At the symposium, leaders from both sides conducted in-depth discussions on topics such as scientific research cooperation, talent cultivation, and technological exchange. The leaders of the Department of Marine Oil and Gas Engineering at China University of Petroleum (East China) expressed their willingness to establish a long-term and stable cooperative relationship with the International Marine Engineering Training Center, and jointly promote technological progress and industrial development in the field of marine oil and gas engineering. The leaders of the International Marine Engineering Training Center agree with this and look forward to practical cooperation between the two sides in multiple fields.

On site visits to enhance mutual trust

After the symposium, the leadership team of China University of Petroleum (East China) visited the training area and classrooms of the International Marine Engineering Training Center, gaining a deeper understanding of the center's training content and teaching methods. Through on-site visits and exchanges, both parties have gained a clearer understanding of each other's professional strength and resource advantages, laying a solid foundation for future cooperation.

Looking ahead to the future, working together to advance together

This research symposium and on-site visit not only deepened the understanding and trust between both parties, but also provided broad space for future cooperation. I believe that with the joint efforts of the Department of Marine Oil and Gas Engineering at China University of Petroleum (East China) and the International Marine Engineering Training Center, both parties will definitely achieve more significant achievements in the field of marine oil and gas engineering and make important contributions to the development of global marine engineering.

SIOETC was established in 2018 as a state-owned private mixed ownership enterprise of a joint-stock international standardization and safety training center. Located in Senda Meigang, Weifang. The Center is committed to accelerating the construction of a maritime power, serving China's basic national policy of the "the Belt and Road", and providing support for the "military civilian integration" to achieve national defense modernization. The Center has gained standard recognition and recognition from many international and domestic organizations by combining international advanced education experience, training courseware and management system. To cultivate training in China to meet the needs of global high-end maritime engineering industry clients, including offshore oil, wind power, minerals, and supporting engineering systems, military officers and soldiers, public security and fire protection, emergency rescue organizations, medical support departments, and other related maritime workers and management personnel in terms of certification and certification skills, as well as the promotion needs of marine resource practitioners, in order to improve personnel's safety, environmental protection, survival skills, accident survival rate, and rescue success rate at sea
