The training and certification of underwater explorers (multi beam depth sounders) aims to provide students with professional skills in operating and applying multi beam depth sounders to meet the needs of underwater exploration and measurement fields. The course content includes knowledge and skills in the principles, operating techniques, data analysis and processing of multi beam depth sounders, as well as underwater terrain map drawing.
Multi beam depth sounders have a wide range of applications in underwater exploration and measurement, including but not limited to marine resource exploration, seabed topography mapping, submarine pipeline layout and maintenance, underwater archaeology and cultural heritage protection, and so on. Its high precision and high efficiency make it an important tool for underwater engineering and research.

This training is suitable for professionals in underwater exploration, marine engineering, underwater archaeology, marine geology, and other fields, as well as learners interested in underwater measurement and exploration. The trainees participating in the training can be professionals from different backgrounds, such as engineers, researchers, underwater archaeologists, marine geologists, etc.
Learner mastery
The trainees participating in this training need to have basic knowledge of underwater exploration and measurement, including but not limited to multi beam depth sounders, surface acoustic velocimeters, acoustic velocity profilers, positioning equipment, basic setup and operation of attitude meters. In addition, students need to have certain computer application skills and be proficient in operating relevant data processing software.
Learning style
This training adopts various teaching methods, including theoretical courses, practical operations, case analysis, etc. Students will receive theoretical knowledge explanation and practical operation guidance through a professional teaching team, while analyzing and discussing real cases to improve their practical application abilities.
The sonar training location is in the SIOETC exclusive sea area on the north side of the Happy Sea Beach in Weifang Binhai Economic Development Zone.
Theoretical training, SIOETC will ensure a minimum of 1 trainer for every 16 trainees, with a ratio of 16:1
For practical training, SIOETC will ensure that at least one trainer is assigned to every four trainees, with a ratio of 4:1
The daily teaching time shall not exceed 8 hours, with a total time of 24 hours (three days of study).
Provide students with sufficient rest time between practical and theoretical courses.
