ERT physical fitness test (emergency team medical examination certificate)

The OGUK medical guidelines have been adjusted to meet the challenges posed by the 2019 COVID-19 global pandemic, which began at the end of 2019 and continues to this day. For example, OGUK's "social distancing" healthcare has minimized the need for respiratory function testing, and for the same reason, it is necessary to revise the guidance in section 3, paragraph 2 on evaluating the health of emergency team members. The existing Section 3, Paragraph 2 of the 2008 Guiding Opinions should be replaced with the following text: 2 Emergency Response Team 2.1 Introduction

The responsible person must make arrangements to respond effectively in the event of an offshore emergency. This is achieved through a series of measures summarized in safety cases, including prevention and response measures.

One element of emergency response is a well-trained Emergency Response Team (ERT), some of whom will undertake a range of responsibilities, including firefighting, assisting controlled platform evacuation, and conducting casualty search and rescue.

Participating in emergency work may require working under various environmental conditions that may cause stress, sometimes requiring long hours of work, and requiring a significant amount of physical strength in situations far beyond personal daily job responsibilities.

Some designated team members need to sit and work, such as radio operators and control room operators, while some emergency team members need to wear protective clothing/respirators and engage in high-intensity physical activities. As these responsibilities and activities may impose additional physiological burdens on workers, employers need to determine the ability of team members to undertake these responsibilities and assess the risks of their involvement in these tasks.

Therefore, OGUK recommends that expert review team members engaged in high-intensity physical activities regularly conduct medical evaluations and physical fitness grading

Program: You should allow 30 minutes for a physical examination.

The following tests are part of our evaluation process:

·Complete and discuss the ERT healthcare survey questionnaire.

·Physical examination, including height, weight, and BMI.

·Urine testing (to evaluate the functioning of your kidneys/body).

·Visual acuity testing (close range, distance, and color)

·Listening test (listening test).

·Pulmonary volume measurement test.

·Chester step test.

Please carry with you:

Photo ID (passport or driver's license), your glasses or contact lenses, comfortable clothing, Chester steps

If you have any medical conditions that may be relevant, please bring information such as duplicate prescriptions and expert letters to help expedite the processing.

After your ERT medical treatment:

After the evaluation is completed, our department will follow the UK Renewable Healthcare Adaptation Work - Offshore and Land Project Wind Turbine Guidelines.

The frequency of physical examinations is once every 2 years, but the aerobic test is once a year.

OPITO training and medical examination certification

The oil and gas industry introduced a medical assessment in 2018 to assess the health status of EBS training in water, also known as health training healthcare. "Suitable for training in medical care" ensures conducting personal risk assessments and identifying any medical conditions that may expose individuals to the risk of barotrauma.

The OPITO BOSIET, FOET, and HUET courses will now include water training for CA-EBS. This new content requires more physical examinations for representatives, which will be conducted through a certificate of suitability for training. Before completing this, you can participate in BOSIET, FOET, or HUET courses.

Representatives attending the meeting will need to complete a questionnaire on respiratory, ear, nose, and throat examinations, as well as a lung health assessment, which will be conducted face-to-face by British Petroleum and Natural Gas examiners.

This type of physical examination is usually conducted simultaneously with the OGUK examination, but it can also be conducted separately.

Program:

You should set aside 15 minutes for the physical examination. This type of physical examination is usually conducted simultaneously with the OGUK examination, but it can also be conducted separately.

You should expect to complete a specific questionnaire and clarify any answers for lung health assessment

Please carry with you: ID document with photo (passport or driver's license)

You will be confirmed as: suitable for underwater PSTASS EBS training, temporarily not suitable for PS ASS EBS training, uncertain not suitable for underwater PSTASS EBS training
