Submarine survey personnel are professionals engaged in marine engineering exploration and investigation work. In the era of rapid technological development, the demand in the field of ocean engineering is increasing day by day. In order to better cultivate professional talents in the field of seabed exploration, SIOETC International Marine Engineering Training Center has collaborated with Haizhuo Tongchuangke to jointly create a groundbreaking "Submarine Surveyor Training Center".


This cooperation is not only a joint effort of the two institutions, but also injects new vitality and innovation into the entire field of ocean engineering training. The SIOETC International Marine Engineering Training Center has always been renowned for its professional teaching staff and advanced training facilities, while Haizhuo Tongchuangke is an enterprise with outstanding contributions in scientific and technological research and development. (1) Engaged in comprehensive application industries that focus on water resource management, hydrology, water engineering, and environmental protection in the water conservancy industry, such as hydrology, water engineering, environmental protection, flood control engineering, groundwater management, government departments and policy makers responsible for formulating water resource policies and regulations, etc;

(2) Engaged in domestic rivers, canals, lakes, and water bodies, used for waterway transportation and cargo transportation business, such as fishermen, environmental scientists and protection organizations, scholars and researchers in inland waterways;

(3) Engaged in the field of marine engineering applications, such as marine engineers, marine and seabed hydrologists, seabed geologists, crew and navigators, port management and waterway maintenance, underwater construction inspectors, military and defense applications, and marine archaeology.

(4) Engage in emergency water rescue organizations and groups, such as missing person search and rescue, aircraft wreckage search, water search and rescue, diver search and rescue, sunken ship search and salvage.

Submarine survey personnel need to have solid professional knowledge in oceanography, geology, physics, and other fields, as well as proficient mastery of advanced marine technology and equipment. Their mission is not only to sail in the deep blue sea, but also to embark on an unprecedented adventure at the intersection of technology and human intelligence.




Students are able to master






a) Conduct on-site evaluation, develop a work plan for the side scan sonar system, avoid potential issues and risks, and make corresponding decisions;

b) Installation, connection, and debugging of sonar equipment.

c) Operate the side scan sonar system, including starting, stopping, adjusting parameters, and obtaining sonar data;

d) Using side scan sonar systems to detect underwater targets, such as divers, tires, or underwater objects;

e) Collect side scan sonar data and use corresponding software for data analysis and processing to generate reports and images;

f) Operate the navigation system to set the navigation path of unmanned ships, ensuring precise positioning and route tracking of side scan sonar equipment;

g) Familiar with and proficient in basic safety skills for water work, proficient in using PPE personal protective equipment.

h) Operate rafts or unmanned boats to ensure accurate positioning and operation of side scan sonar equipment;

i) The maintenance and cleaning points of side scan sonar equipment can be carried out for routine maintenance.





Learning Style






Offline teaching and on-site training, the sonar training location is in the SIOETC exclusive sea area on the north side of the Happy Sea Beach in Weifang Binhai Economic Development Zone.

Theoretical training, SIOETC will ensure a minimum of one trainer for every 16 trainees, with a ratio of 16:1

For practical training, SIOETC will ensure that at least one trainer is assigned to every four trainees, with a ratio of 4:1

The daily teaching time shall not exceed 8 hours, with a total time of 24 hours (three days of study).

Provide students with sufficient rest time between practical and theoretical courses.
