The recognition of SIOETC by IMRF indicates the excellent performance of the training center in improving the safety skills of offshore personnel. IMRF provides its members with the opportunity to gain valuable insights, learn from each other, and share experiences that can be adjusted according to specific needs or requirements. After joining IMRF, SIOETC will have the opportunity to communicate and collaborate with professionals from around the world to explore how to adopt more efficient, safe, and optimized rescue operations methods.

Wu Yue, General Manager of SIOETC, stated that sufficient training for search and rescue personnel at all levels is crucial. Training centers like SIOETC can provide valuable knowledge and skills to effectively and safely carry out tasks in different scenarios and weather conditions.

Training can enhance the confidence, ability, and coordination of search and rescue operations. Our training not only benefits community personnel, but also allows citizens to learn how to prevent or respond to emergencies, how to cooperate with community personnel, and how to survive before rescue arrives, all of which are beneficial

SIOETC not only has offshore facilities, but also professional simulation units and air and land search and rescue facilities, such as its helicopter underwater escape training (HUET), fire simulator, and lifeboat simulator with a swimming pool.

SIOETC joined IMRF in the first half of this year and has translated IMRF's basic rescue ship operator manual into Chinese. SIOETC is also working to develop guidelines for helicopter search and rescue, as well as agreements for ship and diving search and rescue. IMRF provides members with the opportunity to gain valuable insights, learn from each other, and share experiences that can be adjusted according to specific needs or requirements.

SIOETC General Manager Wu Yue stated that the main focus area of IMRF is to share best practices and inform maritime search and rescue organizations of innovations that benefit the search and rescue community. All of these are aimed at educating professionals and volunteers to adopt more effective, safe, and optimized rescue methods. As a professional training center, we are always ready to participate in the work of IMRF.

The addition of SIOETC to IMRF also brings new opportunities and challenges. As an organization dedicated to sharing best practices and informing maritime search and rescue organizations that is conducive to innovation in the search and rescue community, IMRF will work closely with SIOETC to jointly promote the development and progress of the marine engineering industry.
