The Ministry of Education's supply and demand docking employment and education project aims to solve the problem of the disconnect between talent cultivation in universities and the needs of enterprises through deep cooperation between schools and enterprises, and enhance the employment competitiveness and career development ability of graduates. The "Petroleum Engineering Graduates Employment Internship Base" project is a vivid practice of this concept. Through collaborative education between schools and enterprises, a "direct train" has been built for students majoring in petroleum engineering from campus to the workplace, enabling them to master key skills and accumulate valuable experience in practice, laying a solid foundation for future employment.
This year, the internship base welcomed its second batch of students. As an important component of the Ministry of Education's supply and demand docking employment and education project, this course is carefully designed with a focus on practical training, covering key areas such as drowning prevention safety and emergency intelligence practice, maritime survival skills exercises, fire self rescue practice, use of H ₂ S (hydrogen sulfide) protective equipment, TEMPSC (fully mobile enclosed lifeboat) operation, high-altitude operation safety practice, and seabed exploration equipment operation. These course contents are closely tailored to the actual needs of marine engineering sites, allowing students to accumulate valuable experience in simulating real scenarios and effectively enhance their vocational skills and employment competitiveness.
Enterprise support: Haizhuo Tongchuang
Haizhuo Tongchuang is a national high-tech and Beijing based specialized and innovative enterprise that focuses on underwater exploration, integrating sonar product research and development, production, and sales. The company was founded in 2016 and after more than 8 years of development, has successfully laid out three major application areas: detection, monitoring, and observation, becoming a leading enterprise in the sonar industry.
This course also received strong support from Haizhuo Tongchuang. As a leading enterprise in the industry, Haizhuo Tongchuang provides advanced equipment sonar and post-processing software system support. The addition of Haizhuo Tongchuang further enriches the resources of the internship base and provides students with practical opportunities that are closer to the forefront of the industry.

SIOETC invited expert: Qatar Gas - Director Fan Xuewu
This training has invited experts from SIOETC International Ocean Engineering Training Center and Director Fan Xuewu of Qatar Natural Gas. Teacher Fan has been rooted in the forefront of offshore oil and gas and ocean engineering for many years, accumulating rich practical experience and profound theoretical knowledge. His arrival injected strong professional strength into the practical training. In class, Teacher Fan vividly explained the practical problems and coping strategies in ocean engineering based on his own experience, making students feel as if they were in a real homework site and experiencing the charm and challenges of ocean engineering. His professional guidance and careful teaching have greatly benefited his classmates.
The implementation of the project not only brings unprecedented practical opportunities for students, but also achieves a positive interaction between education and industry. The SIOETC International Ocean Engineering Training Center, with its rich experience and resources in the field of ocean engineering, provides high-quality internship environment and practical guidance for students at China University of Petroleum (East China).
